Kary MacArthur Hubbard, 79, of Jacksonville passed away December 30, 2021. He was born August 17, 1942 in Anawalt, West Virginia to the late Roscoe Ray and Ollie Marie (Johnson) Hubbard. In addition to his parents, Kary was welcomed into Heaven by his brother, Gary Hubbard.

Kary proudly served his country for twenty years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. After his military career, Kary worked for an additional twenty years as a state employee. In his spare time, Kary enjoyed various hobbies, including collecting knives, hiking, and woodworking, so much so that he built the majority of the furniture in his home. Always smiling, he never met a stranger and was the perfect example of a gentle, loving soul. Kary loved God but more importantly, he loved his family. He will be missed by all that were lucky enough to have known him.

Those left to cherish the memory of Kary include his wife, Wanda Hubbard; children, Kimberly Palmer, Karen (Keith) Lody, and Steven (Melissa) Hubbard;  grandchildren, Michael Lody, Kara Lody, Caitlin Palmer, Ashton Hubbard, and Aiden Hubbard; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Kary will be laid to rest immediately following the service with full military honors at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
