LaVernia "Nana" Johnson, 73, of Jacksonville passed away on December 16, 2021. She was born December 14, 1948 in Batesville, Mississippi to Andrew Tyler Sr. and Eulalie (Frank) Stewart. In addition to her mother, LaVernia was welcomed into Heaven by her husband, Vassie Johnson Jr.; and brother, Emmett Johnson.

Those left to cherish LaVernia's memory include her children, Michael S. F. Johnson, Lisa S. Gagnon, and Angelena D. Hill; brother, Andrew Tyler Jr.; grandchildren, Rodney A. Breaux, Aleshia C. Johnson, Chase J. Gagnon, Zachary C. Breaux, Gabriel A. Breaux, and Noah F. Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Adrian A. Warner, Nevaeh D. Neely, Caleb A. Breaux and Kyler N. Breaux.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
