Lawrence Sullivan, 81, of North Little Rock passed away on Monday, March 16. Lawrence, known as Larry to his friends, was born on Staten Island, New York, on November 11, 1938, to William Joseph Sullivan and Margaret Mary Sullivan.

Larry was an actor, author and professional storyteller who entertained children and adults throughout his lifetime. He was the host of the "Silly Sully Story Show," which he hosted for many years on Wall Radio and WZAD Radio in Middletown, New York. Larry acted in or directed more than 50 major theatrical productions throughout the U.S. from the Paramount Theatre in New York to the Hilton Dinner Theatre in San Antonio. His original comedy "Bet A Million" was performed in dinner theatres all over the country.

Larry had a long resume of performances at Murry's Dinner Playhouse and other central Arkansas venues. He appeared in several movies and television shows, including "Wall Street," "Jacob's Ladder" and "Sweet Lorraine." His TV credits included "Mississippi" and "The Doctors."

He is survived by his loving companion of 20 years, Julie Vest, also of North Little Rock, and his siblings, nieces, nephews and life-long friends. A special thank you to his niece Margaret Walsh of Staten Island, New York, who provided immeasurable love, care and support to her uncle during his final days.
