Lee Joyce (Hooker) Turnage of Cabot, Arkansas was born April 14, 1940 to Thomas Roy and Lola Angeline (Turner) Hooker in Palestine, Arkansas  She passed at the age of 80 on November 27, 2020. Joyce graduated from Des Arc High School in 1958.  In August of 1958, she married James Linville Turnage and they moved to Little Rock, Arkansas.  She devoted her life to raising 4 children.  She loved to take her kids fishing and on rides down Faulkner lake road looking for turtles and wildlife.  Joyce loved spending time with her husband and children hunting and fishing.  In 1978, they moved to Cabot where they enjoyed their remaining time together.  She spent most of her working years at Chicopee Manufacturing in North Little Rock. Joyce was a good Christian, devoted wife and loving mother.  She adored all her grandchildren.  Even when she became very ill, she would light up when her grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit her. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lola (Turner) Hooker; brothers, Preston, Merle, Denford and Wayne Hooker; and sisters, Emogene Ingram and Freeda Cummings.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, James Linville Turnage; daughters, Vivian Stanley and husband Billy, Jamie Carter and husband Chuck; sons, James Arthur Turnage and John Wesley Turnage, all of Cabot; grandchildren, James Collins of Cabot, Christen Blythe and husband Michael of Cabot, John Wesley Turnage, Jr. of Florida, Michelle Turnage of Texas, Jasmine Turnage of Cabot, and James Arthur Turnage, Jr. of Cabot; great-grandchildren, Emily Collins of Cabot, Candice Turnage of Texas, John Michael Turnage of Texas, Garrett Blythe of Cabot, Grayson Beal of Cabot, Peyton Blythe of Cabot, and Ayden Blythe of Cabot; siblings, George Hooker of Lafayette, IN, Mable Lynn and husband Kenneth of Rogers, AR, Janice Martin-Toll and Frank Fiore of Cabot, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Welcome Home Cemetery near Des Arc and Griffithville (16734 AR-11, Griffithville, AR, 72060).  Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
