Lorene Mae Mobley Williams, 103, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away March 13, 2024. She was born in Russellville, Arkansas on August 1, 1920 to the late Bert Allen and Mattie Josephine Rice Mobley.

Lorene and husband, Ligie, were founding members of the Rose City Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Arkansas in 1963 where she attended for 43 years. She attended the Oak Grove Church of Christ after moving away from Rose City, and the Lake Houston Church of Christ in Humble, Texas.

During her 103 years on this earth, Lorene lived in Arkansas, California, and Texas, hosted many family and friends for Sunday dinner without knowing how many would attend; raised several siblings, her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren; survived 2 pandemics, cancer, a near-death car accident and acute health conditions. She only complained about needing the trash taken out, not knowing where the children were, and wanting to be at home when she was away. She could make a meal from practically nothing, clothing without patterns, a room full of stuff fit into a car trunk, and never ceased to laugh whether times were good or hard. When her memory failed her in later years, she could still sing hymns of praise to God and not miss the words or tune. She leaves a lasting legacy within her family and all who knew her. She will be missed.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ligie C Williams; son, Bobby Williams; siblings, Clara Mobley Wiley, Virgle Mobley, Fred Mobley, Doil Mobley, Florene Mobley Taylor, Earnest Mobley, Virgis Mobley, Betty Mobley Cox, Eugene Mobley, and Imagine Mobley.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald (wife Nita) of Magnolia, Texas, Rickie and David (wife, Nina) Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas, and daughter Linda Williams Moore (husband, Terry) of Humble, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great, great-grandchildren; and brother, Mitchel Mobley of Sacramento, California.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 with burial to follow at Rest Hills Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Visitation will be held beginning at 1:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
