Lorraine Marie Hockaday, 87, of Jacksonville, left this world on March 11, 2021. Lorraine was born to Edward and Rita Bergeron on January 7, 1934. After graduating high school, Lorraine pursued her dream of becoming a registered nurse. Upon completing her bachelor's degree in nursing, Lorraine joined the Air Force in 1956 and became a Flight Nurse. While in the Air Force, she met and married her sweetheart, James Hockaday. Together they had five children, James, Willy, Joe, Tom and Rose, and traveled to many locations as an Air Force family. The bonds of Lorraine's military family remain very strong to this day. Lorraine eventually separated from the Air Force and completed a 20-year career in the Veteran's Administration as a registered nurse. Lorraine and James eventually settled in Jacksonville, Arkansas, where she enjoyed homemaking, surfing the internet and watching her favorite pass time, horse racing. Lorraine was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that was deeply loved and will be missed by everyone.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Arrangements  by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
