Obituary

Loveta Prescher, 85, of Jacksonville passed from this life on March 16, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 23, 1939 in Rockwall, Texas to the late James L. and Mable Bell (Rupe) Nolen. In addition to her parents Mrs. Prescher was preceded in death by siblings, James Nolen, William "Bill" Nolen, Nancy Burrows, Landrum "Babe" Nolen, DeQuita McCollom, Eugene Nolen, Dudley Nolen and step-son, Marty Prescher.

Loveta was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She was a woman whose warmth knew no bounds, a homemaker and a great cook with a gift for making everyone feel at home. She never met a stranger, always making sure anyone who walked through her door was welcomed with love and a plate of food.

She had a way of bringing people together, especially during her famous Christmas parties, which stretched into the early hours of the morning. Her home was always open to family, friends, and anyone in need. If you knew her, you were part of her family, and she left her mark on everyone she met with her laughter and love. She leaves behind a legacy of generosity and joy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of forty- seven years, Maynard Prescher; children, Patrick Townsley, Paula German, Joe Townsley, Shannon Nash; step-children, Mike Prescher, and Malinda Bozeman. Other survivors include grandchildren, Brittany (Justin) Smith, Dalton Townsley, Logan German, Brooklyn (Woody) Wallace; and great grandson, Oliver Clay Smith.
