Malvin Edward
Mize, Sr.
Jan 24, 1942 — Jul 25, 2026
Malvin Edward Mize Sr, 84, was celebrated home to Heaven from Conway, Arkansas on July 25, 2026. He was born to the late Joseph S. and Callie Truesdale Mize on January 24, 1942 in Grannis, Arkansas.
Malvin loved his family and friends and was always ready to lend a hand to those who needed it. He loved and served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God and family were top of his list, followed closely by his good friends. Although he had many passions in life, if you knew him for any length of time you would begin to understand his true lifelong passion was building and customizing old cars. With a list of 50+ cars and trucks he had personally owned and customized, among many other cars he helped customize for others, it was clear that this is where he was his happiest.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rachael Sue Mize; seven sisters, Blanche Border, Eleanor Jefferson, Joann Shelton, Della Payseno, Reba Rigby, June Mize and Sharon Snider; three brothers, Frank Mize, George Mize and James Mize; son-in-law Tony DeLord; grandchildren Carrie Nicole Mize, Lucas K. Goodman.
His legacy lives on in three daughters, Tonya DeLord, Anna Mize, and Linda Mize; two sons Danny/Julie Mize and Malvin/Kassandra Mize; grandchildren, Mark/Kealee DeLord, Chris Mize, Toree Mize Tarkington, Dustin/Megan Goodman, Summer/Travis Hassell, Zach Goodman, Hunter Mize, Alexis Goodman, Travis/Brianna Mize, Kasey/Skylior Smith, Christine Mize; thirteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and bonus family he gained along the way.
Pallbearers are Hunter Mize, Mark DeLord, Phil Wardner, Stuart Lauderdale, Spencer Lauderdale, and Blake Sullivan
