Margie Lou Ruple, 87, of Jacksonville, passed from this life February 25, 2021. She was born November 4, 1933 in Little Rock to the late Louise Adkins Sooby and Delbert Atkins. Margie lived an Army wife lifestyle with Claudie Ruple in the Southern United States and in Germany twice. She was very active in the Army N.C.O. Wives Club and loved to play pinochle with friends every weekend. Margie started working at the age of 50 for the Arkansas Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control Division (her second family) in Little Rock and worked there for over 20 years until she retired. During retirement, she loved watching the Dallas Cowboys with family and friends.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Rick) Lynn Yopp of North Little Rock; her son, Jeff (Mandi) Ruple of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Austin (Krystal) Ruple of Maumelle, Taylor (Taylor Miles) Ruple and Tanner (Chloe) Ruple, both of Jacksonville and great-grandchildren, Aniyah Young and Aidan Ruple.
The family wishes to thank Margie's very special friend, Wallace "Rip" Dempsey for the wonderful care and unconditional love he gave her.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Bayou Meto Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2021 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
