Marian Cates, 61, of Beebe passed away on December 1, 2020. She was born on July 22, 1959 in Lynwood, California to parents Nathan and Neta Loftis.

Marian enjoyed playing bingo, singing karaoke, dancing, fishing and playing slots at the casinos. She loved spending time with her boys and grandchildren as well. Marian was saved by Jesus last year and is now celebrating in Heaven with the loved ones that have gone before her. All she wanted in life was to be accepted for who she truly was and grow closer to her sons. Later in life Marian entered in beauty pageants and won second place. She also was a participant in the Senior Olympics in 2019 and won first place for the fast dance.

In addition to her parents, Marian is preceded in death by her step-father, Huel Curtis.

Those left to cherish the memories of Marian include her sons, Jeremy (Allison) and George (Peggy) Loftis; her siblings, Carla Burdette, Nathan Jr., Darlene Warner and Jerry Loftis; her beloved grandchildren, Kaylee, Nathaniel, Haylee, Rylee, Daniel, Nicholas, Jordan, Samantha and Haley; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Marian will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
