Marie Scoggin, 97, of Jacksonville, passed away October 11, 2020.  She was born July 1, 1923 in Bradford, Arkansas to parents Delmer and Sadie Goad.  Marie was an avid gardener and spent much of her time crocheting, however nothing was more important to Marie than her family. Marie's whole life was dedicated to caring for her family and she will always be remembered for the years she spent doing so and the many afghans she made for all her loved ones. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd Scoggin and her son, Larry Scoggin.

Marie is survived by daughters, Norma Patterson (John) Stauffer and Barbara (Joseph) Schilling; grandsons, Brian (Patty) Hibbs and Jeffrey Hibbs; several beloved great-grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2020 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.  Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
