Marlon Ray Polston, 90, of Jacksonville died peacefully in his home on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

Ray was born in Charlotte, Arkansas on March 23, 1930 to Wesley and Lydia (McDoniel) Polston. He was the youngest of 10 Polston children.

Ray served in the U.S. Navy from 1949 to 1970, when he retired as a Chief. He was a veteran of both the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Marlon was well-known for his southern charm and his ability to get along with anyone who crossed his path. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a grin on his face like the two of you shared a secret no one else knew.

On August 17, 1963, Ray married the love of his life, Angelita Chan. They owned and operated Polston Used Cars until 2003.

Ray will be welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Wesley and Lydia Polston; his wife, Angelita; grandson, Connor Polston; as well as his three brothers and six sisters.

Ray is survived by his sons, Wesley and Andy (Stacey) Polston; grandchildren, Allison and Cameron Polston; and great-grandson, Austin Polston.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2020 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2020 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Ray will be laid to rest next to his wife at Hopewell Cemetery in Cord, Arkansas at a later date.
