Mary Ruth Baker, 92, of Jacksonville passed from this life on February 9, 2025. She was born October 13, 1932 in Albertville, Alabama to the late William Ervin and Mattie (Stone) Hill. Mary spent many years working at and retired from the Commissary on the Little Rock Air Force Base. She loved working and enjoyed being around people. Although she enjoyed her work, she was always happiest spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. In her spare time Mary could be found enjoying gospel or country music or wrapped up in a crochet project. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who lived the values of her Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jospeh Baker in 2011; grandson, James Matthew Baker; and brother, Ernest Hill.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Randy Baker (Sherry) of Beebe, Kendal Baker of Jacksonville, Kathy Tiney (Bob) of Utah; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Other survivors include siblings Dorothy and Martha (Daniel) both of Alabama, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
