Mary Catherine Speer, 88, of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2024. She was born July 10, 1936 in Marianna, Arkansas to the late Robert and Lucille (Cash) Parish. Mrs. Speer was a member of Maddox Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers and birds but found her greatest joy in her family and faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred O.D. Speer in 1995; children, Eugene Speer and Marie Losey; granddaughter, Cassondra Speer; siblings, Jimmy Parish, John Parish, Francis Johns; and her beloved fur baby, Missy.

Left to cherish her memory are children, David Speer of Jacksonville, Elaine Whaley of Jacksonville, Rhonda (Jack) Manion of Kansas, Deborah (John) Milner of Jacksonville; grandchildren, William Pulliam, Josh Pulliam, Joe Pulliam, Mary Rader, Ashley Milner, Jessica Milner, David Speer Jr., Ashley Speer, Charles Whaley, and Catie Losey. Other survivors include son-in-law, Rick Losey, nineteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild along with a host of extended family and many loved friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00am, Friday, November 1, 2024 at Maddox Road Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church, beginning at 9:00a.m.

Pallbearers will be Salem Huffman, Charles Whaley, Robert Parish, Jimmy Parish, Ricky Losey and Gary Acklin.
