Maysel Alberta Franklin, 98, of Jacksonville, passed from this life on Saturday, January 24, 2026. She was born on Wednesday, August 3, 1927 in Lonoke, to the late James L. Hensley, Sr. and Lyda McCrary Hensley. Maysel was a longtime member of the Lonoke Apostolic Church and had retired from Franklin Electric in Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mitchell Franklin; and all of her siblings, James Hensley, Jr., Clara Dill, Marie Hayes, Ollie Mae Brown, Willie Lee White, Helen Cavender, and James Edward Patterson.

Maysel is survived by her son, Ronald Franklin and many nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services for Maysel will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
