Melva Henderson, age 74, of Jonesboro passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at her home.  She was born May 21, 1946 in Turrell, Arkansas to the late Wilson and Minnie Lee Johnson.  In addition to her parents, Melva was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Henderson, Sr. and brother, Arthur Washington.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Priscilla (Fred) Henderson-Fields of Seattle, Washington and Leo (Lajaunda) Henderson, Jr. of Hockley, Texas; grandchildren, Devon and Shantel, both of Seattle, Washington and Justin of Killen, Texas; great-grandchildren, Serenity, Milan, Daniel, and Josiah; sisters, Lee Stevenson and Ossie Coleman, both of St. Louis, Missouri, Elizabeth Johnson of West Memphis, Arkansas, Liz Grundberry of Memphis Tennessee, Thelma Carpenter, Bobbie Cooper, Elsie Walker and Mary Johnson, all of Little Rock; brothers, Walter Washington, Wesley Washington and Emitt Washington, all of St. Louis, Missouri, Freddie Johnson, James Johnson, Byron Johnson, Johnny Forest-Johnson, John Johnson, Willie B. Johnson and Jerome Johnson, all of Little Rock, and Johnny Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee.
