Michael Samuel Roberts, 81, of Sherwood passed away January 6, 2024. He was born April 4, 1942, in Gober, Texas to the late Roy and Mildred (Samuel) Roberts. In addition to his parents, Michael was welcomed into Heaven by his brothers Ronnie Roberts and Roy L Roberts, his sister Jo Ann Braley, and his son-in-laws, Gentry Ford, and Howard Booker.

Michael will be missed for his caring heart, dry sense of humor and steadfast opinions. He was a man of his word and never broke promises. Michael enjoyed all things classic country – from music and cars to shows and movies. In his spare time he also enjoyed Westerns and crime shows like NCIS. Above all else, he was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Those left to cherish the memories of Michael include his beloved wife, Elfie; children, Tammy Booker, Mike Roberts, Patricia Collins, Eric Ray, Alexandra Annis, Andrea Ford, and Desiree Scott; siblings, Frances Holcomb, HB Roberts, and Randy Roberts; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Cooper Sorrells Funeral Home (803 E Main St, Honey Grove, TX 75446).
