Curtis Allen Lucas, age 88, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away July 17, 2026. He was born on October 25, 1937 in Marion, Alabama to the late Nathaniel Clay and Bessie Mabel Lucas.
Curtis proudly served 23 years in the United States Air Force, retiring at the distinguished rank of Master Sergeant. Following his military service, he was a truck driver for Parts Warehouse in Little Rock, Arkansas where he faithfully worked for 24 years. He coached his son's numerous baseball teams throughout the years. There wasn't anything mechanical that he could not fix!
His favorite pastimes were camping, traveling, fishing, hunting, going to the casino and cooking for family and friends. He loved his morning cup of coffee and honey buns, as well as his daughter's homemade fried apples!
Above all, he loved his family and took great pride in all their accomplishments.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Marie Nelson, Evelyn Guzman, Cliff Lucas, Dale Lucas, Charles Lucas, Billy Lucas, L. D. Lucas, and Sherman Lucas.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ann Lucas; children, Debra (Stanley) Manning and Donald Lucas; step-daughter Michell Ordway; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Lucas (Carol) and sister, Shirley Reed; in addition to his beloved fur baby, Roxy the German shepherd.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Burial with full military honors will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at the funeral home.
