MSGT. Ret. Max L. Nailling Jr., 93, of Jacksonville was reunited with Jesus and his wife on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Max was born Sunday, July 6, 1930 in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late Max L. Nailling Sr. and Eva L. O'Cain Nailling. Mr. Nailling served his country in the United States Air Force with twenty years of honorable and dedicated service. His example of dedication to country and family will be carried on by his loved ones for generations to come. After his retirement from the armed forces, Mr. Nailling was employed with and retired from Remington Arms after twenty years. Mr. Nailling will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Max was an avid gardener, hunter and loved Crappie fishing.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his loving and devoted wife of sixty-six years, Van "Sis" Nailling in 2019; brothers, Cecil and Charles Nailling.

Survivors include his children, Kirk (Chris) Nailling, Donald (Debbie) Nailling, Karl Nailling; granddaughter, Katie; grandsons, Scott, Kyle, Dylan, Sean and Bradley along with 9 great grandchildren. Other survivors include sisters, Lottie, Geneva and Janet; along with a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Furlow with military honors. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 10:00am.
