Ollie Elwanda Taylor, 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026, surrounded by family.  She was born on May 6, 1939, to the late Clarence and Laura (Faughn) Fowler in McCrory, Arkansas. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carol Edward Taylor; sisters, Oretha, Freda, and Sue; brothers, Albert, Morris, Harold, Dwight, and Bill; and grandsons, Bobby and Quentin Crabb.

Affectionately known as "Mamaw" by her grandchildren, Elwanda was a source of warmth, strength, and love to all who knew her.

She is survived by her siblings, James Fowler and Mitzie Marianetti; two sons, David (Kathy) Taylor and Ronald (Tana) Taylor; her cherished grandchildren, Kelly Ferguson, Brooke Moore, Brad Taylor, Chad Taylor, and Beau Crabb; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will continue to honor her memory.

A graveside service will 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2026 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
