Patricia Jane Hamilton Ptak, 91, of Jacksonville passed from this life on Sunday, May 11, 2025. She was born Friday, November 17, 1933 in Princeton, Illinois to the late Howard Hamilton and Janice Wright Hamilton. She retired from Arkansas Children's Hospital after twenty-five years as an X-Ray Technician.  Mrs. Ptak was an active member of the Jacksonville Garden Club and served for more than twenty years with the Jacksonville Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Jacksonville chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International. Patricia was a proud military spouse and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved her family and friends, her house and garden and delighted in hosting events in her beautiful backyard.  Her kind heart and her uncanny memory of everyone's birthday will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Jerome F. Ptak in 2015; brother, Dick Hamilton; and daughter-in-law, Cherrel McNatt Ptak.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Suzie Schwartz (Norton) and Cindy Ptak Chamberlain (James) both of Virginia and son, Jerry Ptak of Texas. Other survivors include grandchildren, Luke and Alexandra Chamberlain, Drew and Jeffrey Ptak along with a host of friends and loved ones.

Mrs. Ptak will be laid to rest with her husband at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2025.. In lieu of flowers please donate to Bright Focus Foundation at Bright Focus Foundation
