Patrick "Pj"
Joseph Flaherty, Iv
Mar 17, 1997 — May 16, 2020
Little Rock
Patrick Joseph "PJ" Flaherty IV, 23, has left the building as of May 16, 2020. Like many in this world, he suffered from mental illness and secretive drug use that was too powerful for him to overcome. He is survived by his mother Kristine Donofrio Flaherty, his father Patrick Joseph Flaherty III, and his sister Alexis Katherine Flaherty.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Marshall Flaherty and his aunt, Alicia Flaherty Stein. He is survived by his maternal grandparents Edward and Donna Donofrio, his paternal grandfather Kimber Boyer and step paternal grandmother Cecelia Boyer. He leaves behind aunts and uncles Wendde and Mark Kneram, Jacquelyn and Scott Penters and his five cousins.
PJ was a proud graduate of Mercersburg Academy, Class of 2016, where he was an honored member of Octet Acapella group and a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity at the University of Mississippi. He was an avid sports fan cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Penguins and the Pittsburgh Steelers all day long. PJ will be missed by all his friends and family scattered across the United States and the World at Large. He loved to play video games, hang out with his dogs (especially Lucky and Norman), sing loudly (occasionally in Latin), and scuba dive. If he could have been anything in the world, he would have wanted to become a professional scuba diver to explore the 7 Seas!
PJ's family will remember him as a curious, clumsy, funny, sweet-hearted soul that marched to the beat of his own drums, both real and imagined. He never met a surface that he didn't trip on or a colorfully wild, unmatched outfit he wouldn't wear.
A visitation to celebrate PJ's life will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2020 at 84 Sologne Circle, Little Rock, AR, 72223. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial contributions be made to a substance abuse and/or mental health facility of your choice. All arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home of Jacksonville. (501) 982-2136.
