Patsy "Pat" Jean Smart, 79, passed away May 19, 2026. She was born January 29, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Floyd and Maxine (Campbell) Phillips. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Smart; son, David Smart; and sister, Joann Eades.

Pat enjoyed working in her yard, fishing, and her dogs. She loved her family dearly and cherished every moment spent with them.

Left to cherish Pat's memory are her son, Scott (Shannon) Smart; sister, Carolyn (Claude) Howard; four grandchildren, Morgan (Jake) Pack, Sydney Smart, Kyndall Smart, and Mallory (Darren) Lee; her companion, Harrell Free; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Friday May 22, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. There will be a private graveside service following. She will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
