Obituary

Peggy Tracy, 73, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away at her home on April 20, 2026.

Peggy was born on October 29, 1952, in Searcy, and grew up in North Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Tracy; parents, William and Fanny Swim; and sisters, Linda Swim and Mae Irene Swim. She is survived by sister, Carla Ridings of Lonoke.

After completing nursing school, Peggy began her career as a labor and delivery nurse in Little Rock, where she met the love of her life, Phil. They were married in 1977 and built a life centered around love, faith, and family. Together they raised three sons, Matt (Rachel) Tracy of Fayetteville, Scott (Katrina) Tracy of West Little Rock, and Neil (Julie) Tracy of Elm Springs.

Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was deeply blessed by her six beloved grandchildren, Penelope, Hank, Daniel, Ezra, William, and Amelia, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

When she was not busy caring for her family, Peggy found happiness tending to her flower garden, reading novels, and immersing herself in movies of all kinds.

Above all else, Peggy was a strong and caring woman who devoted her life to protecting and caring for her family, neighbors, and community. Whether babysitting, dog-sitting, caring for aging parents and in-laws, supporting her husband through illness, or performing thousands of quiet acts of kindness and service, Peggy always stepped in to make life better for those around her. Her love, compassion, and selflessness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
