Phillip Wayne Ingram, age 68, of Jacksonville, Arkansas was born March 12, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jerry and Marlene Ingram. He passed away peacefully at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock on February 16, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother Katherine Ingram; and sister-in-law Mary Ingram.

He is survived by his brother, Steven G. Ingram of Jacksonville, AR; step-sister, Kim Sparks (Craig) of Denton, Texas; step-brothers, Rick Brown (Melanie) of Gilbert, Arizona and Jeff Brown (Julie) of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Phil served honorably in the United States Army for 3 years as an MP. He worked most of his life as a railroad engineer and conductor. He worked for Southern Pacific, Union Pacific, and retired from the Arkansas Midland. Phil was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved riding. He was a kind, caring, giving person; always happy to help someone in need. His father spent 30 years in the United States Army, so the family moved around a lot. Phil's education included Monticello, Arkansas, Ottawa, Illinois, Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, and he graduated from Buena High School in Sierra Vista, Arizona. He went into the Army right out of high school, became an MP and eventually a dog handler with the Military Police. He was stationed at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona and Ft. Wainright, Alaska during his 3 years of active duty.

Phil was married twice, but never fathered any children. He made friends easily wherever he lived, and still communicated with high school friends and men he served with in the Army. Phil knew the Lord and was Saved, so we know he is at peace. Ride the clouds and rest in peace dearest brother!

There will be a memorial service at 1:00p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the committal shelter at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
