Phillip Joseph "Joe" Moore, 78, of Lonoke passed from this life on October 13, 2024. He was born January 12, 1946 in Morrison Bluff, Arkansas to the late Johnny H. and Helen P. (Bauer) Moore. Joe was a twenty-two-year veteran of the United States Army. After retirement from the Army, he went to work for the Arkansas State Hospital where he worked for another fifteen years before retiring for a second time. Joe enjoyed guns and cars, but found his greatest joys in his family and his Catholic Faith.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of forty-two years, Uta (Riess) Moore; children, Thomas (Alma) Moore, Rolf (Iris) Whalers and Dietmar (Irene) Whalers. Other survivors include nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren along with a host of extended family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cabot. Interment with military honors will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Rosary service will be one hour prior to Mass, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the church.
