Phyllis Jean Leslie, 78 of Jacksonville passed away Sunday August 23, 2026 at The Springs of Greers Ferry Health/Rehab facility in Heber Springs. She was born February 20, 1948 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Belve and Oneda Baldridge. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Carl Leslie; and infant brother, Otis Neal.

Phyllis retired from Arkansas Democrat/Gazette where she worked as a typesetter. Phyllis treasured time spent with family and friends and her precious fur baby, Cutie Pie.

Phyllis is survived by her three brothers, Neal (Debbie) Baldridge, Bill (Beverly) Baldridge, and JR Baldridge; one sister, Leah (Gerald) Burton; along with several nieces and nephews who she loved spending time with. Phyllis found great joy in family traditions.

Above all else Phyllis loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of Cross Covenant Church in Lonoke, Arkansas.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest.
