Rachel Tharp Fuel, 96, of Jacksonville, left this Earth to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 27, 2021. She was greeted in Heaven by her husband, Carey "Cecil" Fuel; children, James Carol Fuel and Norma Jean Fuel Gray and her parents, Sidney Andrew and Minnie Elizabeth Broach Landers. Mrs. Fuel was also preceded in death by seven loved siblings.
Mrs. Fuel, was born in Ingalls, Arkansas April 14, 1925, married the love of her life in Lake Village, Arkansas in 1941, and moved to Jacksonville in 1973. She was a founding member of South Bend Baptist Church and was a long time and loyal member of Military Road Baptist Church where she considered the members her second family. She was a strong Christian woman with a surprising sense of humor. Her most loved hobby was gardening, and she was good at it, growing pretty much anything that had a seed.
Left behind to cherish her memory include four grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren who knew her as "Grandma" or "GG". She lived a good life, was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Funeral service will be 11:45 a.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Brother Don McCormick officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501)982-2136.
