Rebecca Lyn
Brush
Jul 15, 1956 — Jul 3, 2022
Jacksonville
Rebecca Lyn Brush, 65, of Sherwood, passed from this life on Sunday, July 3, 2022. She was born Sunday, July 15, 1956 in Elwood, Indiana to the late William "Bill" and Carolyn Chadwick Brewer. In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, John Anthony and a grandchild, Peyton Anthony.
Let me tell you about a HERO!
Her name is Becky Brewer Anthony Brush. She has worked all her life, since she was 15 years old. She had worked in a dairy bar, at Timex, cleaned houses, was a substitute teacher, and had done electrical work, as well as working different types of self-employment jobs. She was always there to lend a helping hand for anyone she knew and loved. She loved strong and deeply. She helped raise 3 sons, a step-son, 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own and would do anything in the world for her family, friends and strangers. If you gave her a minute she would brag about her grandkids and how proud of each one she was.
She found out last November that she had lung cancer. She took the news like a trooper. In December she had surgery, which they removed part of one of her lungs and some lymph nodes. It may have put her down physically for a while, but it never took away her SPIRIT! She may have lost her battle with cancer but she fought a good fight and gained her wings! We know she is up there with God now. She is going to make God tired, she never could sit still, and her hobby was talking, and the good Lord knows she could talk! She never met a stranger, and loved being around people. She was 21 days shy of her 66th birthday, but you couldn't tell her age by her actions!
Becky, think of all the people you will see in HEAVEN. It's time now for you rest, a rest you well deserve. You will be missed and never forgotten while you are up there looking down on us. Tell everyone up there hello. Remember how much We Love You!
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Ronnie Brush of Sherwood; children, Ricky (Ashley) Anthony of Monticello, Jason (Crystal) Temple of Austin, Scott Temple of Pangburn, Phillip (Amanda) Anthony of Austin, Tony Anthony of Austin, and Samantha Anthony of Morrilton; step-children, Matthew Brush of St. Louis, Missouri, and Rebecca (Chris) Rutherford of North Little Rock; siblings, George Brewer, Rosemary (Gary) Quillen, Patty (Gil) Brown, Jeff (Kathy) Brewer, Carol (Doug) Limbaugh, Glenda (Ronnie) Bell, Cathy (Jack) Neyers, and Mike (Michelle) Brewer; grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah, Sydney, Rylee, Jaci, Junior, Katelyn, Devin, Shyann, Jayden, Keegan, Cambrie, Cashlee, Deacon, Sadie, Mabry and Cayden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and many special friends that have become a part of her family.
