Obituary

Richard Harold Hicks, 80, of Cabot, passed away December 4, 2021. He was born January 15, 1941 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Clayton and Lulu (Drayer) Hicks.

Richard was a longtime member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He was a member of the Southern Oaks Country Club in Jacksonville. He also coached little league baseball for over ten years, was involved in the Episcopal Dioceses of Arkansas, and worked for Elixir Industries for several years as a controller and plant manager. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather that will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him.

Those left to cherish Richard's memory include his wife of thirty-one years, Katie Hicks; children, Rich (Linda) Hicks, Rob (Tracy) Hicks, and Aaron (Jessica) Butterfield; his cousin, Vance Birminghan; his ex-wife, Caryl Hicks; ten grandchildren and five great-granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's disease in Richard's honor.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2021 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
