Richard John Owen, 74, of Jacksonville passed from this life April 30, 2024 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock. He was born May 1, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late William L. and Joy M. (Mabbutt) Owen. Mr. Owen was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Sandra Schofield on January 22, 1972. Richard will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of fifty-two years, Sandra Owen; children, Julie Michelle Owen of Virginia and Keith Owen of Jacksonville. Other survivors include siblings, Peter W. Owen (Marsha) of Alabama, Betty Joy Thom of South Carolina, Buddie A. Owen (Karen) of Jacksonville, Alice M. Bradford of Sherwood, Janice L. Lauricella (Frank) of Louisiana; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 a.m.
