Rick A Babic, 63, of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away March 13, 2024. He was born in Seattle, Washington on April 19, 1960 to Joseph and Elaine Babic.

Rick joined the US Air Force right out of high school in August 1978 as a Jet Engine Mechanic. He soon cross-trained to become a C-141 Flight Engineer where he traveled the world. Later he transitioned to the C-130. While stationed in Japan he obtained his FAA Airframe and Powerplant license which allowed him to perform maintenance on civilian aircraft. He also obtained his FAA pilot's license.

After military retirement he dabbled in real estate and aircraft repair. His passion for instructing led him to Pulaski Technical College teaching aspiring aircraft mechanics the basics to obtain their A&P certificate.

Besides aviation, Rick had a passion for the game of Poker.

Rick is survived by his wife, Teresita Babic of 38 years; brothers, Brad and Gary; sister, Jackie; and parents, Joseph and Elaine.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, March 15, 2024 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:30AM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 12:00PM at Arkansas Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
