Robert Walter Messig, 82, of Lonoke went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 4, 2025. He was born November 5, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Robert George and Laverne Clara (Weckworth) Messig. Mr. Messig selflessly served his county and retired from the United States Air Force. He went on to a career in auto restoration where he became a well known professional and mentor. In addition to his business Mr. Messig was a street rodding enthusiast and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Richard and Gary Messig.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert A. Messig and wife Geneise; granddaughter, Halie Frederick; great grandson, Silas Frederick along with a host of extended family and many, many friends.

A memorial gathering will be 11:00am, Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Messig family residence located at 1657 Highway 294, Lonoke, Arkansas 72086.  Cremation arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
