Roy Raymond Blazer, 89, of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022. Roy was born Sunday, March 12, 1933 in Little Rock to the late Coy and Alma (Hodges) Blazer. He was a United States Army Veteran and a long-time employee of the AMF bicycle factory, then later worked for the Carrier Corporation. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his children, Brett and Angela Blazer; and his son-in-law, Donney Ballard.

Roy is survived by his wife of fifty years, Nadine Taylor Blazer; children, Donna Ballard of Cabot and Rita Ward of Florida; siblings, Ellen Gordon of Seminole, Florida, and Pierce Blazer of Perryville; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Ballard, Raymond Ballard, Maggie Ward, Alex Ward, and Vanessa Medlin; great-grandchildren, Beau and Charley Ballard; and his fur baby, Angel.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Roy will be laid to rest following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
