Ruth Marie Childers, 86, of Cabot, passed away May 1, 2021. She was born February 26, 1935 in Arkabutla, Mississippi to the late Van and Lucy (Morris) McCullough. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Childers; two grandsons, Eric Whited and Mikal Childers; brother, Jack McCullough; son-in-law and great friend, Orin Whited.

Our dear mother was a very industrious woman and enjoyed working at First Arkansas Bank & Trust and later as a valued Walmart jeweler for many years. Her interactions with customers were legendary. Our Granny also loved gardening, going to church and socializing with friends and neighbors very much. Her heart was pure gold and she will be missed dearly.

Ruth is survived by her children, Gary (Jackie) Childers, Lynn Whited and Bryan (Cindy) Childers; two sisters and over twenty grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Garrett Childers, Jackson Childers, Travis Kiehl, Cade Childers, Klint Pollzzie, Konnor Pollzzie and Brendon Brock.  Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
