Ruth Ann Moreland, 75, of Roland, Arkansas was led by the Lord to her eternal craft room in Heaven on March 13, 2025. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Loye Raymond and Edith Eleanor Rodgers.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by the one and only love of her life, father of her two girls and her favorite Airman, James "Don" Moreland; brother, Kenny (Brenda) Rodgers; and step-great-granddaughter, Aaliyah.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Keith) Seay of Little Rock, Arkansas and Jamie (Jimmy Montoya) Moreland, of Roland, Arkansas; grandson, Aaron Seay of Knoxville, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Brenda (Richard) McCann of Decatur, Alabama; along with a host of extended family members, including step-grandchildren, Jordan (Hope) Huntsman and Schyler Huntsman; and step-great-grandchildren, Etta, Colton, Linlee, and Decklan; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth Ann was raised in the Church of the Nazarene and later joined the Southern Baptist church with Don. Ruth Ann, with Don, played huge parts in their girl's lives. Donna started life as a Military Baby in Mobile, Alabama, where Don was stationed. When they came back to Little Rock, Ruth Ann and Donna lived and thrived in Arkansas. Don and Ruth Ann were coaches for both girls' softball teams. The girls were active in Girl Scouts, where Ruth Ann was often an assistant leader in the girl's troops.

Donna pursued music, she played both the piano and clarinet, as well as the Marimba in the percussion line during marching season. She went to Governors School, Girls State, and several Marching Band competitions, including, All Region and All State Concert Band. During the summer of Donna's senior year, she realized her voice and landed a leading role in the production of Grease at UALR. Donna graduated Co-Valedictorian of her class. Donna went onto college to obtain her bachelor's degree in business.

Jamie started life in Little Rock after Donna was an only child for 7 years. She has never strayed far. Other than softball, Jamie did pursue piano but not for long. She couldn't stay still to practice.  Jamie went into jazz, tap, ballet and tumbling. Jamie was active in art during school. She won several art competitions including County and Statewide competitions. Her artwork was displayed in the Arkansas Arts Museum.

In addition to her love for her family, Ruth Ann touched many lives during her many years as a Para-Professional at Robinson Elementary. She then moved to the Middle/Junior High School where she was the Secretary/Registrar until she moved to Central Office. She also ran the concession stand while Donna was in the band and Jamie was cheerleading. Then she moved on to be the ticket taker at any event that was held at the school. Dad was security since he was a Pulaski County Deputy at the time. She retired from Pulaski County Special School District. She was an asset to many people, especially children, specifically throughout her career in school.

Both girls can say that their parents were very present in their lives. The girls agree that all in all, they had the best, most supportive, and always loving parents anyone could ask for!!  We love y'all!!
