Sandra Kay Mudge, 78, of Jacksonville passed away July 22, 2026. She was born November 7, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Edwin James and Velma Rae Ligon Smith. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Shumate.

Sandra LOVED animals. Especially her beloved babies, Knox and Kobi. She was a private person but also very loving and caring. She enjoyed her daytime "stories." Some she watched from the very first episode! She worked at Olympia Publishing for several years where she raised money for Special Olympics. She will be greatly missed by many.

Left to cherish Sandra's memory are her husband, Wilson Mudge; children, Amanda (Jon) Miranda and Michele Schlebach; two grandchildren, Leslie Turner and Gavin Miranda; four great grandchildren, Jonathan Harkey, Tyler Turner, Matthew Turner, and Brannon Turner; and a host of church family and friends.

A graveside service will be 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Cato Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday July 26, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
