Seharreal Cortez Geans answered God's call and took his flight to his eternal resting place October 5, 2020. He was the only son of Albert and Narvella (Ransom) Geans and was born May 4, 1967 in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1976, Seharreal accepted Christ and joined the Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Almyra, Arkansas.

Seharreal was a 1985 graduate of Jacksonville High School (Red Devils). He furthered his education at the Arkansas Technical University, where he showed his athletic ability by playing football. Seharreal was proud to be from Jacksonville and told many stories about growing up in "J-ville". He was known by two nicknames: "Meat" and "Big SE", and would readily answer to both. Being a true patriot, Seharreal joined the United States Army in 1988 to serve his country and was a veteran of the Gulf War.

Seharreal found a renewed relationship with God in 2018 and wanted to be a beacon of light for others to find their salvation in the Lord.  Because of this, he started an online Sunday School podcast called "Seeking the Kingdom of God" in 2019, which was created to encourage and inspire others to read and study the Bible.  This was very important and meant a lot to him.  He learned to lean and depend on God for everything.  We know his time on this earth was not wasted, because he knew his Lord and Savior.

Seharreal was a proud, loving father.  He was a man that was fiercely protective of those he loved.  He was a generous, kind and funny person with a laugh that was boisterous enough to shake the rafters.

Seharreal will be lovingly missed by his caring and devoted wife, Sara Geans; five children, Seharreal Geans, Jr., Jace Geans, Seharreal Geans III, Sehara Geans and Maya Geans; stepson, Tristan Bowen; parents, Albert and Narvella Geans; sister, Quinton (Alfred) Geans-Young; aunts, Clara Mae, Lovella, Izola (Lester), Linda (Ron), Lavern and Damita (Damien); uncles, Lawrence (Clovece) and Larry (Barbara) and two nieces, Zapporah and Zarria.  Seharreal's memories will remain with the Class of 1985 at Jacksonville High School, the participants of his Sunday School podcast, his church family, as well as a host of extended relatives, co-workers, neighbors and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2020 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2020 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
