Sylvia Margaret Baldwin went to be with her Lord on February 13, 2024.  She was born on January 8, 1929, to Rev. Reimar and Magdalene Frick, in Waterloo, Illinois.  She married Lawrence "Larry" Baldwin in 1951, and they raised four children and enjoyed 57 years of marriage before Larry went to be with the Lord in 2008.  She was a nurse, and she earned her BSN when she was in her 50's and retired as Assistant Nursing Director at Rebsamen Hospital in Jacksonville AR.

Sylvia's main calling in life was to be a wife, mother, and homemaker.  Larry was in the Air Force and the family moved relatively frequently.  Sylvia was strong and adaptable.  She made a stable and comfortable home for her family wherever they went, regardless of the circumstances.   She and Larry always served in a local church, wherever the family lived.  After retirement, Sylvia volunteered at the Jacksonville Military Museum, Meals on Wheels, and more.  She served alongside Larry at the Jacksonville Care Channel for several years.  She lived a full and productive life, anchored in her faith in Christ Jesus.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Robert, Willie, and Ralph Frick, sisters Marion Frick, Evelyn "Susie" Becker, and Helen Wehmeyer, sisters-in-law Doris and Vi Frick, brother-in-law Bill Becker, son-in-law Harry McFarland, and grandson Todd McFarland.  She is survived by her children, Mike (Linda) Baldwin, Jeff (Sandy) Baldwin, Janet (Brian) Rudd, and Barbara McFarland.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.

Visitation will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 19, followed by services at 1:00 pm at Jacksonville Moore's Funeral Home in Jacksonville AR, with Pastor Mark Goble officiating.  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.  Pallbearers are Michael, Jeff, Rob, Evan, Chad, and Alexander Baldwin.

Memorials may be made to The Jacksonville Care Channel, 201 N. Elm St., Jacksonville, AR 72076. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.

A memorial service for Sylvia will be held at Kirby Pines Lifecare in Memphis TN at a later date.
