Obituary

Theodore DeVice Sr., 100, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away January 11, 2024. He was born April 24, 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Carmine and Almerinda (Salvatico) DeVice. In addition to his parents, Theodore was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Madge (Matheny) DeVice; son, Theodore DeVice Jr.; and his nine siblings.

Theodore proudly served his country in Patton's 3rd Army in World War II while in Europe. He will be remembered for his level-headed, easy-going personality. Theodore was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that was incredibly understanding and supportive. In his younger years, he enjoyed tinkering with his cars and golfing occasionally.

Those left to cherish the memories of Theodore include his wife, Theodora Janae; children, Philip (Shirley) and Carol DeVice; grandchildren, Shelly (Stephen) Capps, Cindy (Kevin) Ambeau, Bunny (Phil) Fogle, and Kristin (Kames) Laakso; great-grandchildren, Lauren (Tucker) Leech, Laci (Tyler) Tarrant, Lake Boyett, Jake (Tristan) Ambeau, Brooke Fogle, Nicholas Fogle, Caleb Sherman,  Dillon Laakso, and Dexter Laakso; and great-great grandchildren, Waylon Leech, Walker Leech, Bayler Tarrant, Braidy Tarrant, and Camryn Boyett.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Theodore will be laid to rest following the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
