Thomas Lawrence Parks, age 65, of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his home.  He was born July 10, 1955 in Bethesda, Arkansas to the late Russell Theodore and Anna Kytheryne (Miller) Parks.  Thomas proudly served his country as a Command Sergeant Major in the United States Army National Guard for thirty-two years.  He was awarded numerous medals and decorations recognizing his outstanding military service.  In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Lewis and brothers, Anthony Parks and Joseph Parks.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gail Parks; children, Stephanie Key, Melissa Schock, Amanda Buchuncan, Donald E. Parks, Anthony F. Parks, Dustin Sanders, Cindy Nolley and Wendy Stinson; twenty-four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and siblings, Betsy (Harold) Scott, Jackie (Gary) Hinderks and Theodore Parks.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2021 at the funeral home.  The family would like to thank Dr. Govindarajan and Nurse Renee at UAMS and hospice nurses, Katie, Amber, Amanda and Crystal for their care and compassion.  Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.  (501) 982-2136.
