Tommy Bennett Jr. was born on March 17, 1944, in Scott, Arkansas to the late Tommy Bennett Sr. and Clara Bennett.

He worked for many years as an 18-wheeler truck driver for Coleman Dairy delivering milk and ice cream throughout the entire state of Arkansas, eastern Tennessee, and northern Missouri.  He was affectionately known as the "Milkman" to family and friends until the time of his motorcycle accident in 1988, which forced him to retire from the job he greatly loved.   He was an avid fan of WWE (Wrestling) and never missed a viewing.  He did not have a favorite wrestler in particular, but rather enjoyed them all.

The television stayed on day and night and most of the time was watching him.  His favorite genre of movie was 'Westerns' and you would always find him watching Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Big Valley, Larame, and many others.  He also enjoyed playing along on the 'Price is Right' and often blurted out "they should've listened to me" when the contestants guessed incorrectly and yelled at the TV when an outlandish bid was made.

Tommy professed a hope in our Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church then later became a member of Ridgewood C.O.G.I.C. until departing this earth.

Tommy departed this earthly life and went home to be with the Lord at the age 77 on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his mother Clara Bennett, father Tommy Bennett Sr, two sons Andre Bennett and Charles Bennett, four sisters Icie Evans, Shirley Bennett-Jackson, JoAnn White, and Irene Williams, and five brothers Ervin Woodson, Charles Bennett, Willie Andrew Williams, Jessie Bennett, and Willie George Williams.

Tommy leaves to cherish his homegoing to his wife Jewel Bennett; his children, Fretema Burnett of Jacksonville, AR, Kirtina Bennett-Green of North Little Rock, AR, Patrick (Ebony) Bennett, Raymond Bennett, Tonya Hammonds all of Little Rock, AR, Venita Bennett, Valerie Coats, and Tommy (Valentia) Bennett III, all of Dallas Metroplex, TX; sisters, Betty Lou Duncan of Morrilton, AR, Clara Mae Martin of North Little Rock, AR; his brothers, David Bennett and George Bennett of North Little Rock, AR; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tommy had a huge, infectious smile with bright brown eyes and never complained despite his circumstance.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 5, 2021, and Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 6, 2021, both at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. (501) 982-2136.
