Tommy Dale
Hooks
Dec 1, 1946 — Apr 14, 2022
Cabot
Tommy Dale Hooks, 75, of Cabot, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Tommy was born on Sunday, December 1, 1946, in Prescott, Arkansas to the late Doyle Everett and Catherine Patterson Hooks. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his brother, Hershel Hooks of Searcy.
Tommy was a retired United States Air Force veteran and a retired civil service worker. Tommy loved hunting, fishing, raising chickens and gardening. He spent most of his time outside piddling around his garage and shop. When his daughters were in school, he rarely missed a school activity, whether it was sports or band or choir. He always made sure his family was taken care of. They never did without. He was always on the hunt for the best price on Dr Pepper and was rarely seen without one in his hand. And if you look hard you will probably find one hidden somewhere in or around the house.
Tommy is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Susan Pavlas Hooks of Cabot; his children, Mary (Craig) Hamilton of Texas, Sharon Hooks of Cabot, Christie (James) Carr of North Little Rock, Karen (Stacey) Tilghman of Cabot, Angela (Michael) Sain of Lonoke, Holly (Scott) Haynes of Ward, Gina (Madison) Haley of Fayetteville and Katie (Justin) Rosner of Edwards AFB, California; his siblings, Doyle Everett Hooks of Ft Worth, TX, Danny Hooks and Kathleen Hooks, both of Hot Springs; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be 8:30 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at St. Jude the Apostle's Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Tommy will be laid to rest after military honors 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
