Tommy (Tom) Robert Overton Sr., 78, of Vilonia (formerly of Hope) passed from this life on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from natural causes. He was born Wednesday, December 26, 1945 in Leola, Arkansas to the late Marcus Lee Overton and Birdie Lee (Simmons) Overton Brown. In addition to his parents, Mr. Overton was preceded in death by his stepfather, George H. Brown, and two brothers, Horace Edward Overton and Bobby Charles Overton. Tom loved the Arkansas Razorbacks, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. His love for his family will be a lasting legacy.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth (Bess) Overton; daughters, Holly Williams (Don) of North Little Rock, Angel Brown (Anthony) of Georgia, Tara Stevens (Todd) of Maumelle and son, Tommy Robert Overton Jr. (Jennifer) of Conway. Other survivors include grandchildren, Dylan, Tristan, Catie, Colby, Tori and Caroline; sister, Nancy Gatto of Illinois, along with nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:30am, Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Life Tabernacle Church, 23903 AR-107, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. Interment will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
