Technical Sergeant Dustin Tyler Blackwell, 39, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away on July 14, 2025. He was born on March 5, 1986, in Jacksonville, Arkansas, to Thomas Blackwell and Sharon Blackwell.

From a young age, Dustin knew he was called to serve his country. He fulfilled that calling with dedication and honor of a 20-year career in the United States Air Force, completing seven deployments and achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant. His service reflected his deep sense of duty, resilience, and pride in wearing the uniform.

Dustin was known for his gift of gab — he could strike up a conversation with anyone, anytime, about anything. His little devious smile was unforgettable, especially when he'd end up telling on himself simply because he couldn't help it. He had a way of making others laugh and feel at ease in his presence.

In high school, Dustin was a member of the wrestling team and continued to pursue his love of physical fitness throughout life. He enjoyed lifting weights and had a passion for riding his motorcycle, finding peace on the open road.

Dustin also developed a love for golf. Whether playing a casual round with friends or traveling to attend professional golf tournaments, he found joy and camaraderie in the game. Watching the pros and walking the fairways of iconic courses brought him genuine excitement and lasting memories.

Dustin was preceded in death by his grandfather's Kenneth Blackwell, Edward Arnold, and Billy Hale.

He is survived by his wife, Gena Blackwell; children, Jordan (Tyler) Cook, Austin and Tristen Anderson; grandchildren, Zoei, Jennifer, and Quentin; parents, Thomas Blackwell and Sharon (Robert Ferrington) Blackwell; step-mom, Misty Smith; siblings, Christopher Blackwell and Kathryn Ogilvie; nephew, Barrett Blackwell; and grandmothers, Susie Hale, Fannie Arnold, and Evelyn Blackwell.

Dustin will be remembered for his loyalty, his humor, his unwavering love for his family, and his deep devotion to his country. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be 3:00PM, Friday, July 25, 2025 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM at the funeral home. There will be a graveside service at 9:00AM, Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
