Violet Ruth "Twink" Travis, 90, of Jacksonville, went to be with her Lord on March 4, 2020. She was born in Plainview, Texas on June 21, 1929 to parents Ralph and Alveretta Ruth Tinkle.  After being born in Texas, as a young child she moved to Leadville, Colorado. She lived there until getting married in July 1948 and moved with her husband to Monroe, Louisiana.  They were married for 62 years.  Twink was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy Travis and her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Roy (Sharon) Travis, C.J. (Kathy) Travis and Gaylen (Don) Ballard; six grandchildren, Teri, Traci, Clayton, Clint, Reva and Buck; nine great-grandchildren, Matt, Taylor, Meagan, Grant, Tyson, Porscha, Oakley, Lakelyn, and Roland; two great-great grandchildren, Savvy and Liam and four siblings, Betty (Don) Babion, Herb (Ruth) Tinkle, Bobby (Lynn) Tinkle, and Dale (Ann) Tinkle.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2020 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
