William "Bill" Afton Beard, age 83, of Scott, Arkansas passed away January 21, 2026. He was born on August 14, 1942 in Hensley, Arkansas to the late Griffin Afton and Myrtle Beard.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Beard; siblings, David Jim Beard, Margie Johnson, and Bertha Martin; and 2 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Amanda (Clifton) McKinney, and Angela Fulmer; siblings, Christine Martin, Mary Harper, and Larry Beard; grandchildren, Mark, Megan, Callie, Matt, Baillie, and Zack; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 3:00p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 1504 N JP Wright Loop Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 2p.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 2:00p.m. at Orion Cemetery in Redfield, Arkansas.
