William “Bill” Kenneth Selvidge, 87, of North Little Rock passed away September 18, 2026. He was born January 10, 1939 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late James Amos and Dessie Adele (Barker) Selvidge. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Wilson; siblings, Agnes Shells, Betty Lou Deaton, Clyde Selvidge, James Selvidge, Shirley Waller, and Gary Selvidge; and one fur baby, Angel.

Bill proudly served his country as an Army Ranger for eight years, including his service in Vietnam. He remained connected to fellow veterans throughout the years as a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the Blinded Veterans Association.

Following his military career, Bill went on to enjoy a long career with Owens-Illinois, Inc., where he worked until his retirement. He loved to fish and camp. He also enjoyed traveling and seeing new places.

Bill was a member of a bowling league, along with his wife, and enjoyed the fellowship and fun that came with it. He was an easy-going man who never needed much to be happy. He was a wonderful cook for his family up until he lost his eyesight. Most of all, Bill loved his family. He cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved watching his family grow.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Edith Selvidge; children, Michael (Dixie) Davenport, Rita Clark, Teresa Cole, Michelle (Bryan) Stuart, Kynda (Stephen) Garrett, and Kasey Wick; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one brother, Arwain Selvidge; and one fur baby, Emmy.

A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Visitation will be one hour prior, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Bill will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery in Jacksonville.
