In 2018 Grace Chapel Mausoleum: this third mausoleum was built at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The mausoleum consists of 390 crypts and 256 cremation niches. A second crematory unit was installed earlier in 2018. The mausoleum is a classical faced mausoleum with polished red granite. There are two structures joined by a connecting roof. All of the cemetery interments and entombments are conducted at Grace Chapel.


Harris acquired Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home in 2003. The company acquired Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home in 2004. The locally owned family continues to operate these facilities through a highly competent staff with over 100 years of experience. The mausoleum demonstrates the ongoing continued commitment Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home and Chapel Hill Memorial Park has to the citizens in the Jacksonville area.

In 1959, Chapel Hill Memorial Park conducted it's very first interment. Chapel Hill is the only perpetual care cemetery in Jacksonville area. The cemetery is approximately 22 acres of beautiful, spacious gardens, stately mausoleums, and cremation areas.


The developed gardens of Chapel Hill include the Gardens of Devotion, the Lord's Supper, Masonic Bible, Good Shepherd, Prayer, Restland, Honor, and Babyland. In 2008, we opened our newest garden we named "Promise". All of our gardens are heavily shaded with towering pines, white oaks, magnolias, and landscape.


"Honor" is a garden dedicated to those Veterans who have served our country. We have created special discounts and pricing as a token of appreciation to those men who proudly serve and protected us.


Chapel Hill has two beautiful mausoleums, Chapel Oaks and Chapel Pines. Chapel Oaks is the larger of the two and was constructed from 1988 to 1990. Chapel Oaks contains both single and side-by-side crypts, as well as niches for cremation. Chapel Pines was built in 1992. It contains single, side-by-side and true companion crypts.

Because so many more families are choosing cremation as their final disposition, we wanted to provide additional security and peace of mind their deceased family member would be treated with dignity and respect.  In 2004, Chapel Hill Crematory was built on the property of Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
